Choosing between iGarde and NoWaste?

A pantry list is useful when you can keep it up to date.

Look at the everyday routine

NoWaste’s UK iPhone listing describes inventory and expiry tracking, shopping and planning, plus barcode, receipt and photo entry. It offers several ways to record food, so scanning alone is not a reason to assume a different app will suit you better. See NoWaste’s UK listing.

With iGarde, start by trying the daily routine: check Today, decide what needs using and record the amount you use. With Plus, recipes and Cook Mode connect dinner planning with pantry updates.

Give it a small, useful trial

Choose three foods you already have. Add and review them in iGarde. Check the list before your next shop, then update it after you use something.

If that routine fits your kitchen, add more over time. This is a fresh start with a few items, not an automatic import from NoWaste.

What is free, and what is Plus?

Your pantry, expiry reminders, on-device receipt scanning, shopping list and everyday use updates are free, with no time limit. Your first shelf scan is free too.

Optional iGarde Plus

Plus adds recipes, Cook Mode, Cook Tonight, weekly planning, household creation and sync, and optional AI receipt cleanup. Shelf scans after your free first scan require Plus and are subject to usage limits.

£2.49/month or £19.99/year

A two-week free trial is available to eligible new subscribers. Eligibility is determined by the App Store. After the trial, your chosen plan is charged at the price above and renews automatically unless cancelled. Manage or cancel in your Apple ID settings.

Know what the list can tell you

Review new entries and keep quantities and dates current as food is used. iGarde does not detect everything happening in the kitchen. The practical question is whether checking and updating the list becomes a useful part of your day.

Cook what you already bought.
