Choosing between iGarde and KitchenPal?
Start with the part of your kitchen routine you want to improve.
Two ways to organise the kitchen
KitchenPal brings together inventory, recipes, meal planning and shared shopping. Its help pages describe updating stock and deducting ingredients after cooking. If a broad kitchen organiser is what you want, those are useful capabilities to consider. See KitchenPal’s UK listing and recipe help.
iGarde offers a way to start with the food you already have: review what you add, see what needs using in Today and record what you use. Recipes, Cook Mode and weekly planning are available with iGarde Plus.
Try one ordinary kitchen task
Add three foods you tend to forget. Review the entries and dates. Decide what to use next, then update the list when you use it.
That small task gives you something practical to judge: whether the app fits the way you actually shop and cook. You do not need to move your whole pantry to make a start.
What is free, and what is Plus?
Your pantry, expiry reminders, on-device receipt scanning, shopping list and everyday use updates are free, with no time limit. Your first shelf scan is free too.
Optional iGarde Plus
Plus adds recipes, Cook Mode, Cook Tonight, weekly planning, household creation and sync, and optional AI receipt cleanup. Shelf scans after your free first scan require Plus and are subject to usage limits.
£2.49/month or £19.99/year
A two-week free trial is available to eligible new subscribers. Eligibility is determined by the App Store. After the trial, your chosen plan is charged at the price above and renews automatically unless cancelled. Manage or cancel in your Apple ID settings.
Keep the list useful
iGarde’s UK iPhone listing describes paper receipts, saved receipt images, in-app PDF import and optional visual updates. Review what was found before applying an update. Then keep quantities and dates current as you use things.
Start with a few foods and add more over time. This comparison does not promise an automatic transfer of an existing KitchenPal inventory.
Cook what you already bought.
